Certains soirs
L’eau prend des teints d’or
Et d’argent
Et on peut faire semblant
Que la vie est belle.
Sometimes at evening
the water glints
with gold and silver lights
and we can still pretend
that life is good.

Should´ve paid more attention in highschool with my french classes. But I got it, life is beautiful. As is this.
Nice to see you Charly. I hadn’t heard from you for a while, just checked and all my notifications have been turned off! Will try and catch up on what you’ve been up to.
I’ve added an English adaptation. There was a nuance to it. Pretty miserable, but that’s how it gets you sometimes.
Happy to be back and reading you.
I did pay attention in French class. Love the flow of this. Gold and silver.
Thanks Christine. Funny isn’t it, how really beautful things can make you feel sad?
A nice piece here Jane. WordPress turned all of my notifications off once.
Thanks Laurie. I’ll have to go through and reset the notifications on all the blogs I follow. Wondered why some people seemed to have stopped blogging!
It’s a pain in the bum. I thought that too, what have I done know? I thought. -D
Short, but so very sweet. Thanks for this!
Thanks for the comment 🙂
