Autumn alliteration

Bullrushes bow
Branches bend
Beneath autumn’s breath
Lifts leaves
Sets drifts dancing
Bone dry discordant
Death waltz.

Mud kings

In the river mud
Crow and rat
Rivals for the crown.
Carrion king croaks
Rat rapid on rodent feet
Fears nothing feathered
But the falcon’s falling death.

I used to do lots of things I didn't much enjoy. Now I am officially a writer. It's what I always wanted to be.
