Today

Painting by Odilon Redon

Odilon_Redon_003

I will leave the grey oppression
Of concrete and dust,
Walk where the sea air swells,
Breathe in the sappy spring,
Ringing with the blackbird’s song,
Touch the earth with new joy
And make the waking world dance,
With all the riotous colours
Of my dearest dreams.
