NaPoWriMo #19:

Painting by George Hayter

However far I wander,
Following a dream,
Over the restless horizon
In a wild white-sailed boat,
When my path takes me far from land
And I lose the light in the window,
However far I follow
The path of the gulls,
The tides of the great ocean
Always guide me back to you.

I used to do lots of things I didn't much enjoy. Now I am officially a writer. It's what I always wanted to be.

  1. This sounds so wonderful–the journey and the return! Love the “wild white-sailed boat.”
