One sentence story #9

Painting: Pawel Petrowitsch Tscistjakow

She thought marriage would satisfy her longings, that love would replace her dreams, but bars have grown where rainbows soared, and love has become a cage.

I used to do lots of things I didn't much enjoy. Now I am officially a writer. It's what I always wanted to be.

    1. That’s a lovely compliment, David, but I’m sure you could do this just as well as me. It’s the twitter poetry that helps—concentrates the mind wonderfully 🙂

      1. Sounds like fun. Maybe if I ever finish my wrestling match with my Createspace files. *sigh*

Oh, to do fun things like write!

      2. I HATE Createspace. If they played by their own rules it would be simple, but they don’t. You get the stuff correct to the nearest millimeter and Creatspace sticks the stuff, images, text whatever a centimeter out of true.

      3. Yeah, I learned that I’m better off uploading a straight pdf, which is still a pain. My big problem, though, is that their file size limit is 40 mb but the quality needs to be in excess of 300 dpi… which is a fine line to walk as far as I can figure out. So I spend ages trying to get the files to meet those specs. If it was just designing the cover, I’d be good. And then every time I think I’ve figured out the secret to it all… that secret doesn’t work on the next one!

*disclaimer: I probably just don’t know what I’m doing. I make it up as I go along. :p
