if not a goddess

Another poem from Jennifer Knoblock I wish I had written.

Graceful Press Poetry

waxing, waning
in passion and care
cold, too old to be
decorative bright
young thing marked
by shadow pull of time
and tide and eons
of stray debrisโ€”
look up and see
take me at face
value whatever phase
it is tonight

I used to do lots of things I didn't much enjoy. Now I am officially a writer. It's what I always wanted to be.

  1. It is lovely, but have you ever thought that maybe people look at your poetry and wish they could write like you? They do, I know they do, because I’m one of them, and I’m pretty sure I’m not alone. Xxx

    1. That is a beautiful compliment. I hope I do write some things that please. But you and lots of other writers do too. You just don’t make a habit of posting it all ๐Ÿ™‚
