Haiku challenge: Future & Give

Ronovan’s challenge this week was harder than it looked at first sight. Here are my two ideas.

A gift

The past is fading

the future’s not mine to give

but today’s for you.

Fallen-petaled past

promise of future summers

gives red-hipped autumn.

In two lines read:

Fallen-petaled past, promise of future summers.

Promise of future summers gives red-hipped autumn.

I used to do lots of things I didn't much enjoy. Now I am officially a writer. It's what I always wanted to be.

  1. Wonderful haikus. I agree that task was a bit more difficult. Usually it comes right to me, but this time I had to play with several versions.
