Fabulous news!

Two things worth shouting about:

The gremlin in the machine has been tracked down and eliminated. I can receive notifications again! Thanks to Dustin, the Happiness Engineer. If you have any glitches with WordPress, Dustin is your man.

Second news, I have just signed the contract with Finch Books, new YA imprint of the Totally Entwined Group and rising stars of digital publishing. I’m thrilled to be signed up for the ride! So, it’s nose to the grindstone from now on, getting the rest of the Wormholes series written.

I used to do lots of things I didn't much enjoy. Now I am officially a writer. It's what I always wanted to be.

  1. congratulations indeed are in order. I am so happy for you on both points. Did Dustin say what he found or only that it had been resolved? My curiosity had been peaked at what had caused it do act like it did. Glad Dustin worked out as advertised.))))))))))))))))))))))

    1. It was on that page you mentioned that I couldn’t find, the one with profile, billing history and notifications on it. At the very bottom there’s a setting to block all incoming notifications. The box had been checked by some malicious spirit. It’s now unchecked so I should be good to go. Jane Dougherty author https://janedougherty.wordpress.com/ The Green Woman

      1. wonderful. If Dustin hadn’t replied today, the only way I knew to look was to ask for permission to go into your account and then have you change your password again afterwards. I don’t do that unless there’s no other option to fix something. A lot of people are understandably apprehensive about someone roaming around inside their blog data and private information and I feel their distrust with hackers and the like being out there. But seriously on the other side of the coin, if I really wanted inside someone’s account, a free blog is one of the easiest targets to hack without having any really private or financial info on the blogger. I don’t store any passwords on my computer or phone, I log in manually each time. Maybe I just worked around the wrong people for too long in a past life.
        ❤ (๑̀ ͜ʖ๑́) ❤ I'm glad you're free again.

  2. Congratulations! It’s so frustrating to have computer gremlins at work. I always feel that that just sucks out my energy along with the bytes (or whatever:). Fabulous news indeed on your book contract! Woo hoo! (I’ve just signed a book contract, as well!)

  3. Congratulations on both counts, Jane! It certainly is news worth shouting about! I’m so glad about the book contract, though… I know that’s something you wanted for ages, and its well deserved indeed. Xxx

      1. I’m sure you will! Luck o the Irish to ha! Ps Nominated you for an Irish Blog Award.
