Time to jump down that wormhole again

Today, or rather sometime during the night, I received my first round of edits for the first volume of Wormholes. I’m still reeling from the shock of signing the contract. I had wanted to push on with my second Selkie story before I got sucked down the wormhole again, but Tara, Aidan, and Ronan are going to have to wait a while. It’s back to gang warfare in a crumbling shopping mall and the end of days for me for the rest of the summer. With temperatures on an average of 34/35° it’s going to be difficult writing about sub zero levels, but isn’t that what the imagination is for?

I used to do lots of things I didn't much enjoy. Now I am officially a writer. It's what I always wanted to be.

  1. I would like to discuss this via email, if you have time: “It’s back to gang warfare in a crumbling shopping mall and the end of days”

  2. Good luck with the edits, Jane! You are a ‘proper’ writer now you have a contract! Summer… What summer, cold, wet and windy here. You could write here and have no distractions, I don’t mind taking your place in the sun for a while…

    1. Nobody’s ever satisfied with their weather, are they? We haven’t had a drop of rain since I can’t remember. When the temperature drops to 30° we think it’s cool. We’re melting. You had your dose of sun in Greece anyway. A nice bit of wet will do you good.
I’ve just sent off the first round of edits. Hard work. I’d been trying to forget how bloody complicated this story is!

      1. Well its all good, Jane! I’m looking forward to reading them. Is it normal to be so hot where you are?
