Shock-faced moon

In the summer night

The harvest moon floats golden

Robs the star glitter

Casts it on the sleeping world

Food for the sleepless crickets.

  1. There’s no moon tonight, instead the Perseid shooting stars are there! Look up to the Northeastern sky to catch the tiny flashes at a rate of one every few minutes.
