We were supposed to get a tropical storm. Thankfully only the fringe touched Bordeaux, but the sky was tremendous.

The tide of the sky ebbs,

PENTAX Digital Camera

And the great ocean sky rolls

PENTAX Digital Camera

Into the dark of night,

PENTAX Digital Camera

Leaving the ribs of the day,

PENTAX Digital Camera

Pale ripples of cloud,

PENTAX Digital Camera

Stretched across the blue shores

PENTAX Digital Camera

Of eternity.

I used to do lots of things I didn't much enjoy. Now I am officially a writer. It's what I always wanted to be.

  1. Lovely Jane! That sky is amazing, and you captured it so perfectly in your poem. It instantly reminded me of the sand when the tide goes out.
