Red roses in the fog

Red roses in the fog,
Bright bloody splashes,
Detonate amid the grey.
Cloud pall hangs,
Ocean-heavy, weeping salty tears,
And my passing steps,
That flutter, bird-light,
Weightless in this world of grey cloud and the red that seeps,
Hurry homeward,
While love and roses lie bleeding.

  1. Excellent! The bold colors of blood against the grey and the way you painted this is like a battle. This cries out. So good. Maybe someday battles will be remembered like this and atrocities will be history or fantastic TV shows!
