Judging from the entries already posted, this has been a very fruitful choice of words. Here are my efforts for Ronovan’s weekly challenge.
Charmed lives has the cat
Peering at the golden carp
Dares too far—eight left.
Poplar charms the wind
bowing over the river
sees branch-latticed sky.
Beauty everywhere
look at the sky reflected
in a bright raindrop.
Great haiku Jane!
Thank you 🙂
So beautiful! ‘branch latticed sky’ and sky’s reflection in a raindrop – exquisite!
Thank you! I’m glad you liked the images. They are probably inspired by Edwin’s beautiful photography

WOW! Thank you for the link – the drops from the berries are my favourites – all wonderful though.
He has really captured the beauty of the raindrops. His clouds are usually tremendous too.

That first one… my favorite.
That was the one I didn’t have to look too far to find 🙂
Beautiful Jane, loved the photo too.:)
Thank you!
Some wonderful imagery in these haiku Jane
Thanks Denis. Glad you thought so 🙂
So exquisitely descriptive. Your Haiku took me on a visual of inner sight as your words took me on a hike as my senses were being stimulated by absorbing each layer you revealed as the Haiku eventually advanced the complete story of the perfect connection of the photograph communing with nature; water, animals (each in their rightful places), air (a reflecting sky in tear-drops). All so divinely poetic. A wonderful gift of awakening the senses. How delighttful the trip. – jk 🙂
I’m thrilled you got so much out of the haiku, though it’s impossible to do justice to nature 🙂
There is so much of it to fill infinite descriptions. Though nature is being pulled away by force by the greedy, we must be its advocate. Keep reminding anyone who will listen how immense it should be and its sheer beauty and sometimes fear it can create. Speaking of storms and natural disasters. Natures way of fighting back and stomping her foot to tell those who want to destroy her, TO STOP IT! Can you tell I am on the side of Nature.
I think you make that quite clear 🙂 Join the club.
Yes!
Beautiful, Jane! 🙂 🙂
Thank you!
