Colours in the wind

drifting petals, blown roses

utter silence falls.

I used to do lots of things I didn't much enjoy. Now I am officially a writer. It's what I always wanted to be.

  1. The color, the imagery, the knife, the rain, the words…so much richness. Because of the title “Flag & Fallen” I imagined young soldiers dying in a foreign land…fallen in the beauty of their youth. This is a great post!

    1. I’m glad you think so. I’m not a flag waver myself or a tub thumper. They were all lambs to the slaughter as far as I can see. With the exception of fighting Nazism, there just doesn’t seem to have ever been a valid reason for all the killing. And not just of soldiers either. Millions upon millions of civilians butchered too. They didn’t ‘fall’ they were pushed.
