I used to do lots of things I didn't much enjoy. Now I am officially a writer. It's what I always wanted to be.

  1. Great words to great pics!
Ever saw a bunch of gannets on the hunt? It’s a magnificent sight when they take a 90′ dive at their pray in the water.

  2. The picture of the gannet is amazing! All three haiku are fab but the one I really love is the last. Its such a positive way to view the litter problem. And so true, as recycling becomes more popular.

  3. Great collection Jane! The first image is stunning both in photo and haiku.
In the second I particularly like ‘speckled with birdsong’ and the final one takes note of a less happy aspect of the landscape with subtlety — something I would like to do more often.

    1. I’m so glad you liked them, Janice. Speckled (like spangled) is a word I like to use, even in a sense for which it wasn’t exactly intended 🙂 Litter is a real blot on the landscape, but sometimes the birds find something to admire among it.
