I know, I said the weekend was for promotion, but the big day is approaching and I’m liable to get bogged down in other stuff, so here is the reminder—Book Two of The Pathfinders is on early download from June 21st.

I used to do lots of things I didn't much enjoy. Now I am officially a writer. It's what I always wanted to be.

      1. No, not at all. She’s a sort of feminine version of the Green Man, but without the malevolent overtones that have been added in post-Christian stories. She’s an allegory of the earth, growing things, life. She remembers what needs to be remembered and tries to bring the memories back after most of the world has been destroyed.

      2. I do like that, particularly the Green Man comparrison. I have often wondered if the Green Man actually started out as the Green Woman specific to fertility and wisdom, and men later changed it to suit their own agenda, essentially, their gender. Sound s great.

      3. Thanks! I’ve no doubt you’re right about the changing gender thing. Even God, I believe, in the earliest texts was referred to as either no gender or female! Incredible when you think about how that idea of a single god has given rise to three rabidly patriarchal religions. Anything ‘good’, admirable or powerful just had to be masculine, didn’t it?

      4. Yep! Gods bless the insecurity of men history and the world over. Sadly, brawn has outweighed intellect for so long, thankfully that is slowly changing, well in the western world at least. Aside, I love your stuff, and have since I started reading it sometime ago. Keep up the awesome! You are the best! N.

      5. Aw thanks for the support! I appreciate it. After racial equality, religious equality and homosexual equality, we’re just about getting round to the issue of equality for women. Sometimes I wonder if it will ever be very high on the agenda of any male establishment.
