The dreaming bones

For the Secret Keeper’s weekly writing prompt. This week’s words are

MEANING | RAISE | CRY | DREAM | GROUND

There is a meaning in the words,

Carried by the wind and waves,

Sung by the lark on the hill by the sea,

A cry raised by the ones who sleep

In the holy ground so far away.

Across the years, the miles, the tears,

They call me home, the dreaming bones.
