Raindrops

The Daily Post prompt is: plop.

1024px-Raindrops_on_water

Into the river, raindrops fall,

Down to the sea, the river flows,

Clouds in the sky, the sea dissolves.

Unhappiness is like the rain,

So crystal bright yet full of grief,

Into the river, raindrops fall.

I cannot stop the flood of tears,

Enough to fill a torrent fall,

Down to the sea, the river flows.

You said goodbye, walked down the strand,

A haze of mist obscured your face,

Clouds in the sky, the sea dissolves.

I used to do lots of things I didn't much enjoy. Now I am officially a writer. It's what I always wanted to be.

    1. Thank you! Tears are necessary otherwise we wouldn’t have them. By the way, did you know that your avatar is my cat Trixie? She pops up everywhere on my posts, but I didn’t think she wandered onto other people’s blogs too 🙂

  1. Excellent example of how you are able to bring so much emotion to observation and literally cleave a place in the minds eye of this encounter with such vivid illustration and yet such control. Excellent

      1. Absolutely and you did this magnificently without apparent effort though I know you put a lot of work into things you also know how to make things others would find hard, easy.
