      1. When my sister got married in 1976, the Vicar stopped the ceremony mid verse and demanded that everyone made a joyful noise as it was a joyful occasion. But he didn’t have half as good a voice as Rev Ray. And that cheeky smile halfway through……… wow. I’d want to be in his flock………

  1. Well I thought it was pretty amazing and I would think Mr Cohen would think it ok to use his song in this way…..I once wrote a wedding song but it wasn’t as good as that one….thanks Jane for sharing..

      1. There are several recorded versions, but the one that still sends the most chills (can be found on youtube) is the version she sang in 2010 at the opening of the Winter Olympics in Calgary. I watched the performance on TV and I was in tears.
