Star in a blue sky

A quadrille, exactly 44 words.

You and I

’neath the sky

watch for a sight

of a star falling bright,

streamer of light

in dark of the night

with a wish in its wake.

I reach up and take

it down from the blue

and give it to you.

I used to do lots of things I didn't much enjoy. Now I am officially a writer. It's what I always wanted to be.

      1. Just realized I’ve got this wrong. Thought you were suggesting the starry waterfall as an illustration for part three of the story. I still think you could use it as a story prompt.
