Another rhyming quadrille for dVerse featuring the word ‘whisper’.
In the night,
when light
has gone,
before the dawn,
I hear you whisper low,
words only we two know.
They fall bright as stars fall,
a silver fishy moon haul,
I keep them with my heartbeat,
where your life’s pulse and mine meet.
Love when pulses meet…. music for me
Thank you!
Very romantic. And I like the feeling of closeness and togetherness.
It is rather romantic. I’m pleased you like it.
Nice use of rhyme with lines of varied length. I liked the phrase: “words only we two know”
Thank you, Frank. I know you have a way with rhymes yourself 🙂
This is particularly beautiful, Jane. Very conspiratorial:
“I hear you whisper low,
words only we two know.”
I’m glad you like this one. The poem took a romantic turn at that point that I wasn’t expecting 🙂
Lovely writing..it is intimate.
Thank you, Paul 🙂
Sigh, so romantic….with the words only the two of you know and the meeting of your life’s pulses!
I’m glad you like the way it worked out 🙂
I particularly love ‘a silver fishy moon haul’.
Thank you Rosemary 🙂
