Another quadrille for dVerse with lots of springs in it.
Bed springs ping
as I spring out of bed,
fling the window wide,
let in the air,
brimming with fluttering wings.
Listen to blackbird sing,
bringing morning to the hedge.
Sling on any old thing,
greet the day
with a spring in my step.
Beautifully crafted, creative lov
hidden within words…

I’m glad you didn’t resist π It’s a swinging cheerful poem.
Thank you!
Another wonderful piece. There is something young and alive in this poem.
It must be the spring(s) π
Speaks well for that spring in the step we’re gifted each year as the world comes new again!
It’s magic, isn’t it?
Nicely filled with springs and spring rhymes.
Thank you Frank π
Plenty of springs in this Quadrille, Jane, it’s positively bouncing! I love the sound effects – ping! – and rhymes on ‘-ing’.
That was the idea π Glad it worked π
Love the joie de vivre in this which you shared with lots of spring in your step!
Thank you Victoria! I put as many springs into it as I could π
What a hopeful, gorgeous morning song. π
Thank you! Glad you thought so π
I like being able to ‘sling on any old thing’ and get out into the morning air, though I rarely spring out of bed. A fun springy poem π
I do spring out of bed because we never heat the bedroom! Too cold to hang about π
I would love to have a morning like that π
I hope you have lots of them π It’s that time of year.
Best way to greet the day with a bouncy spring in our steps ~ Love this Jane ~
Thank you Grace π
