Tanka: Clouds & Spring

When spring blossom falls

we turn faces to the sun—

mud a pink carpet.

Reflected in puddles, clouds

colour of cherry blossom.

  1. Wonderful tanka, Jane–and the image is perfect. I love those cherry blossom clouds. We’ve got rain, sleet, and wind coming down on top of the inch or so of snow we got earlier.
