Spring wind shakes the boughs,

blossom, barely born, undone,

falls soft as feathers—

light grows brazen in the sky,

harsh, the sun, I shade my eyes.

    1. I wish I could have have got a photo of the cherry blossom blowing down the road this morning. The central reservation of the main road that runs along by the river is planted with cherry trees and periwinkle. The blossom is falling and the cars churn it up into a snowstorm when they pass.
