Haiku challenge: Colour & warmth

I struggled for ages with this one for Ronovan’s challenge, ending up with a tanka that wasn’t right (it rhymed). Scrapped it and this haiku pinged out. The trumpet vine is coming into flower, but the flowers are too high for me to get at them for a picture.

Hot summer colours,

spun from cold winter silver,

woven from spring gold.
