Drowning

The world is a quadrille at the moment. Here’s one for the Secret Keeper’s prompt using the words:

ROAD | ESCAPE | RAIN | RUBY | SING

This road leads nowhere,

no escape,

no singing of joyful songs,

no wind chimes,

no green light shines among rubies

at the bottom of the pool.

Rain falls all over the world tonight,

and the light of the moon

is quenched in well water.

I used to do lots of things I didn't much enjoy. Now I am officially a writer. It's what I always wanted to be.
