A short story in 139 characters for Kat Myrman’s Twittering Tales, inspired by several recent protests by parents over custody rights.

Evening, the crowd dispersed but both refused to come down.
“I won’t let you have her.”
“She loves me best.”
“I named her.”
“But she’s my cat!”
Hahaha – lovely! 🙂
I wonder if there will be a twist in the tail (sorry – I couldn’t stop myself!)
Like when they get down off their high horses they find the cat’s buggered off?
That’s the one. 🙂
Obvious but sublime 🙂
I’m more oblivious and sublimated – but I know what you mean, Jane. 🙂
You sound like that cat 🙂
I feel like a cat sometimes – lazy and very independently minded. Not prone to killing mice, though.
That goes for lots of cats. Killing mice is hard work.
You speak from bitter experience? 🙂
I have tried killing surplus sick mice, when I was a kid and kept them. Lots of them. It made me feel terrible.
Ah. See what you mean. I apologise on behalf of the world – sorry.
The very young often take on more than they can handle. I wasn’t cut out to be a mouse breeder 🙂
Ha. A cautionary tail (I know) if ever I heard one. 🙂
🙂
Hahaha.
🙂
Reblogged this on Die Erste Eslarner Zeitung – Aus und über Eslarn, sowie die bayerisch-tschechische Region!.
Thanks Michael 🙂
Am laughing out loud…such a comedic twitter tale…
I have never quite understood why people demonstrate against injustice by sitting in precarious positions. Is it because there’s the suspicion that they might jump if they don’t get what they want?
Ha! Nice twist in the end! Oh the love the cats get! I’m jealous!
Some people think more about their cat than one another. Sometimes the cat deserves it too 🙂
They definitely do!
