Storm tide ebbs,

in pools abandoned,

wreckage lies,

yours and mine,

our dreams, rudderless, adrift

in silver moonlight.

  1. like the use of the silver moonlight usually seen in the sentimental poetry of the heart. done a splendid job using the form to express the life consequences of going off the rails (to use another metaphor).
