Secret Shadorma: Lies

This poem combines my seventh Shadorma for Eliot’s Shadorma November challenge, and the Secret Keeper’s weekly writing prompt. The words to include are:

Brazen lies,

caught a nation, found

a scapegoat,

fed a need.

Banality of evil—

truths we never knew.

I used to do lots of things I didn't much enjoy. Now I am officially a writer. It's what I always wanted to be.

    1. Did the ‘old bleak times’ ever go away, I wonder? I had the stupid idea of looking at the twitter response to the new revelations about the Mossad connection with Weinstein. It doesn’t take much for the latent anti-Semitism to raise its ugly head.

      1. There was a moment of time when we kidded ourselves we were making real progress… just dominated the conversation enough the others didn’t speak their minds… now they are and we can see just how much progress (going backwards) we have really made. Still, can’t give up, but it ain’t easy.
