Vita Brevis

This is the second poem of mine accepted by Vita Brevis web magazine.

Into the Bottomless Well of Sleep

It’s a good place for poets and poetry. The poems are beautifully laid out and illustrated with thought and care, so why not send them some of your poetry?

There’s a poetry competition running currently. Send your best poem (no more than 300 words) and see what happens.

I used to do lots of things I didn't much enjoy. Now I am officially a writer. It's what I always wanted to be.

      1. Anglophones tend not to be so hung up about perfection as French-speakers. The language is more flexible. I’ve see too much snotty condescending behaviour on French forums from an ‘educated’ contributor putting down a member of the great unwashed because he/she got an accord wrong.

      2. Good advice ! 🙂 I’ll take it to heart. And yes it’s true a lot are like that. It’s hard to write poetry and make it be accepted by people since a lot of the time to be good a poem has to be extremely technical. I found that the sounds ( alliteration, assonance, etc…) are generally more appreciated in English.
