Hawk in the air

This one, on Frank Tassone’s ‘hawk’ theme is for the great lady of letters who has just left us, flown to a better world than this. Bonne route, Ursula.

I would be

a hawk in the air and spit

in winter’s eye.

I used to do lots of things I didn't much enjoy. Now I am officially a writer. It's what I always wanted to be.

  1. Loved her work! I once had a book open of short stores by her and one by Ray Bradbury and I read them simultaneously – she definitely had the edge! And that says something, Ray Bradbury was Good!

      1. Our library here is very small so they won’t have all her books. There’s one with short stories, all happening in one small seaside town that I’ve reread at least twice.
