For some reason (my ineptitude probably) last week’s cinquains for Colleen’s prompt had been stuck in the limbo WP has invented between the ‘Publish, but we’ll wait indefinitely while you make up you mind you really want to do this’ button and the ‘You asked for it—Publish’ button.
I’ll try to remember to push both buttons this week.
A haiku this time for Colleen’s Tanka Tuesday prompt, not to use the words Breakthrough and Movement.
Spring sky stirred—rain falls
on stark budding boughs bursting
with white cloud blossom.
Lol for the WP buttons! The Haiku was nice!
Thank you! I don’t understand the purpose of the pause button at all…
Hmm. I see. Welcome!
🙂
My kind of Haiku! I’m waiting for spring… we’ve had snow so I can’t complain about dryness! 😀 ❤
I can complain, and I do! We’ve had a mild winter, everything has started to shoot, we’ve had lizards and butterflies and bees, and now we’re nose-diving into arctic temperatures!
Oh, no! That’s not good. It was 0 degrees F. here this morning. The sun has burned through the mountain fogs and the snow diamonds are glistening! ❤
Blimey! That’s -18°C! We are forecast to get -5°C a couple of nights and +6°C (43°F)lowest daytime temp. I shouldn’t complain really.
I didn’t give you the wind chill which was -8 degrees F. The sun is shinning now. I’m good. 😀 Warm and cozy inside.
That makes all the difference 🙂
Glorious 💜
Thank you!
Stirring the sky…I like that image a lot. I can picture it, although perhaps not the way nature intended. (K)
Why did nature make the winds if not to stir up the clouds? And the leaves and the waves of course.
Beautiful haiku, Jane. Such lovely images. We’re having a spring day today and tomorrow. Then the temperature will drop to more normal.
WP has been weirder than usual lately with the missing “Reblog” button and all. I still have to go to the old editor to do my posts because I can’t save them otherwise.
Thank you! Things have gone back to normal with WP. It was Outlook I was having trouble with, couldn’t open emails, couldn’t reply, click on anything and it opened something completely different. It seems to have settled down though. The weather is another matter entirely. We’re bracing ourselves for a wave of cold from Russia. With a bit of luck the ocean will beat it back where we are. Hope the Oracle is listening..
She’s always listening. . . 😉
Reassuring 🙂
🙂
“…on stark budding boughs bursting…”. That promise of growth after the barrenness of winter, love it.
Thank you! The promise is always fulfilled.
That sounds quite magical. 🙂
