Tanka Tuesday: Haiku

For some reason (my ineptitude probably) last week’s cinquains for Colleen’s prompt had been stuck in the limbo WP has invented between the ‘Publish, but we’ll wait indefinitely while you make up you mind you really want to do this’ button and the ‘You asked for it—Publish’ button.

I’ll try to remember to push both buttons this week.

A haiku this time for Colleen’s Tanka Tuesday prompt, not to use the words Breakthrough and Movement.

Spring sky stirred—rain falls

on stark budding boughs bursting

with white cloud blossom.

I used to do lots of things I didn't much enjoy. Now I am officially a writer. It's what I always wanted to be.

  1. Beautiful haiku, Jane. Such lovely images. We’re having a spring day today and tomorrow. Then the temperature will drop to more normal.
WP has been weirder than usual lately with the missing “Reblog” button and all. I still have to go to the old editor to do my posts because I can’t save them otherwise.

    1. Thank you! Things have gone back to normal with WP. It was Outlook I was having trouble with, couldn’t open emails, couldn’t reply, click on anything and it opened something completely different. It seems to have settled down though. The weather is another matter entirely. We’re bracing ourselves for a wave of cold from Russia. With a bit of luck the ocean will beat it back where we are. Hope the Oracle is listening..
