Tanka Tuesday: New

I thought I’d try a cinquain for Colleen’s Tanka Tuesday prompt. The words (synonyms of) are Renew and Fresh.

New grass

sings a green song

rivalling bird and brook.

Spring-sharp claws revive old nests for

new cubs.

    1. It seems easy until you add in the stresses. Sometimes you can have the right number of syllables but not the right number of stresses. Sometimes I’m not certain where the stress falls…

      1. Yes–though of none of these forms seem easy to me to do right. I’m not a fan of the cinquain that read like a list of related words.
