Haiku challenge: Slim & Chance

This was difficult! A haiku for Ronovan’s challenge. I just discovered the word, marcescence today, so I had to get it in somewhere.

I used to do lots of things I didn't much enjoy. Now I am officially a writer. It's what I always wanted to be.

  1. And there is a good chance
    Leafing through the dictionary
    Figuring meaning of marcescence
    Thinking how does it fit
Ah, what won’t we do for
    Chance to be slim

  2. Yay, a “new” word! We are all such nerds…getting excited by looking up a definition! Ah, it is wonderful…
