For Sonya’s Three Line Tales photo prompt.

The holiday village came to life slowly as usual, after late night partying and all the other nocturnal activity that goes with youth and not having to get up to go to work.
Jade opened the shutters, rubbed her eyes in disbelief at the multi-coloured things that had appeared around the pool overnight then, kissing Rory, still writhing in the throes of a tummy bug, on his sweaty forehead, dashed outside to get a closer look.
Rory, delirious and bed-ridden, was the only sign of life the rescue services found when they were alerted to the radio silence from the village by worried relatives.
Those things in the photo are weird–and notice how all the people are stuck in place! 🙂
The whole thing looks suspiciously photo-shopped to me.
I thought so, too. 🙂
🙂
Definitely photoshopped. But I love those colorful towers. They would look great in the median on Broadway. (K)
I’m glad you can think of somewhere they’d look good. Do you know the Stravinsky Fountain in Paris? Reminds me of that.
I just looked it up. Niki de Saint Phalle! Just like her. A favorite of mine.
I used to take the children to watch these fountains. It’s just by where we used to live. There was always one that had broken down, and it was always the one with the biggest crowd of kids waiting to see what it was going to do.
Anticipation is all.
The think that doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do is always more exciting.
OMG the attack of the Liqurice Allsorts!? Love it 💜💜
Ha ha! Or the Dolly Mixtures 🙂
Yes .. Dolly Mixtures even scarier 😱😱😱
🙂
😱
Good writing, Jane. I love where you took this prompt.
Thank you! The happy carefree couples scampering around just look as though they’re in for a rude awakening.
