again the wind blows
hurling white blossom
rain-shooting greenness
ripened in sun’s rising course—
first roses fallen

The weather has its whims. One way or another, the plants survive.
They may be later, but they rarely fail altogether.
We have blossom and petals all over the garden too! 💜
The rain beat the roses down here.
It was wind here, I am so tired after the Bash I am off to bed will catch up on 42 and your posts tomorrow and post about the bash too. Night 💜
Sleep well 🙂
I was exhausted!
I’ll bet! How many people were there?
Not as many as we expected but 70/ 80 but it was amazing 💜
Sounds like quite a crowd to me!
It was I mentioned you in the videos 💜💜
I didn’t see those! The thread must have been longer than I thought. I never use FB and I’m not up to speed with the way it’s evolved. I’ll see if I can find them.
The video isn’t on Facebook it will come up on Hugh blog very soon, we all have to introduce ourselves and waffle 😁😵
All 80 of you????
Yes unless people really didn’t want to chat 💜💜
That will make an epic video!
Yes it will last year’s was fun 💜
Shame Cannes is over…
Lol 💜💜
I put some photos on Facebook this morning but will be posting later 💜😁
Thanks, I see if I can find them.

This is beautiful, Jane–roses bloom and fall. In the photo, they look to me like they are growing from the ground amidst those leaves.
That’s my not very good camera/photography 🙂 I didn’t prune the roses back very hard last winter because they hadn’t been pruned for so long, I was afraid of killing them!
I’m the world’s worst gardener–and not a very good photographer either–so I won’t judge you. It looks beautiful to me! 🙂
Something weird about the roses is that the bush in front of the house was the same colour as these, a sort of peachy pink. It’s in bloom now, and the flowers are pure white…
I think there’s a story there, Jane. 😉
There probably is. It’s very strange though.
Yes it is.
🙂

Thank you, Frank 🙂
My pleasure, Jane! 😇

I fear our remaining petals will look that way soon –
10 more days of rain in a row in the forecast.
