#Three Line Tales: And the result is…yes!

In the light of Ireland’s abortion referendum on Saturday, there can be only one story behind this photo—Sonya’s Three Line Tales photo prompt.

Night falls on the sport’s field where the campaigners for change wait with bated breath for the result of the referendum to appear on the big screen, the referendum that will decide whether the country is prepared to take women’s rights seriously.

They wait with the fear in their guts that the power of the priest and the over-bearing weight of tradition will screw a ‘no’ vote out of the vast majority of the rural population.

In the early hours of Sunday morning, the anguish of waiting is over, and the result flashes up on the screen—yes!

I used to do lots of things I didn't much enjoy. Now I am officially a writer. It's what I always wanted to be.

  1. I fully consent to merrildsmith. In 10 hours we need to “privatize” our system at wordpress.com, because their cookie policies – we read last night 😉 – gave no clear information about the usage of some cookies of third party distributors. This is against the GDPR (We think!), and we are here in Germany where legal suing is a proper ways to get money. ;-( – For the next 14 days we are working “under cover”. 😉 Michael

    1. I hope it all comes right. It’s all rather washing over my head, I’m afraid. There are men shooting in the woods again and I cringe each time I hear a shot.

      1. Oh, i am feeling with you Jane. Yes, i think this all will come right. Our foreign ministers visit at the White House showed, DJT is not willing to accept future facility management of the USA, and during the same time money making of the Germans with delivery of weapons. 😉 Have a good day! Michael
