Earth bakes, clay,

dry, rock-hard, where snakes bask,

crisp grass underfoot.

    1. It’s bone dry. Crispy. But the storms are back from Sunday. That’s why they wanted to get the hay in before the weekend. Farmers’ weather forecast. The official one said storms from Monday. The farmers forecast said the storms would hit from Sunday. I don’t understand who profits from this misinformation!
