Birth magic

A birthday greeting from the Oracle. She always knows.

you were born,

a star sailing into the morning,

belly filled with magic

opened to life,

the night wakened,

the world was complete.

I used to do lots of things I didn't much enjoy. Now I am officially a writer. It's what I always wanted to be.

    1. Not mine, it’s my youngest’s. We’ve been celebrating since Thursday when all but one of the children could be here. Today is the official birthday but the celebrations go on until Monday when the missing link can join in.

      1. I’m assuming it is, didn’t check. I’ve used a vegan recipe before for Irish stew and I htink it had tomato purée in it. The tastes was good but not much like Irish stew imo. I just made and Irish stew without the mutton this time or the pearl barley because husband hates it for some reason. The Guinness replaced the mutton fine.

    1. The month was fine, it was the weather that was atrocious. She came a fortnight early because my waters broke heaving the winter coats down from the attic and beating them outside on the clothes line. We’re still in shorts and teeshirts this year. Different part of the world admittedly.

      1. Life can be so topsy turvy! Whatever possessed you to get the coats out the attic without help…. Don’t answer that the younger pregnant me would probably done the same!! 😱💜

      2. I’ve no idea why. I don’t think it occurred to me that I was overdoing it. She wasn’t due and I always went over term so I thought I had about three weeks to go.
