There are bars at the windows to stop us flying away, but the sisters are waiting. It’s coming, they say, and when the sky is black with crow wings and the sun and moon are eggs cracked open and eaten, their light devoured, no bars will hold us back.
LOVE THIS!
Jane trying to be creepy.
Well done! 🙂
🙂
A little “creepy” is so good sometimes 🙂
I don’t know how writers manage to sustain it for a whole novel though.
That’s an interesting point, makes me think of Stephen King. I certainly couldn’t sustain it through a whole book…
I’ve managed a short story, but no more.
I’ve done short stories too…in fact a teacher in high school was alarmed, thought I must be “troubled” 🙂
Ha ha! I wonder if that teacher ever noticed real distress like bullied or abused kids?
She was a student teacher, I think, so maybe “extra sensitive” to kids’ writing–who knows? 🙂
Student teachers are always more sensitive. Like young politicians. They get that knocked out of them pretty quickly 🙂
Oooooooo! Creepy fun! 🙂
Their day is coming….
🙂
This is delicious! Welcome back Jane! I’ve been doing a daily monostitch this month with 13 syllables and an internal rhyme. 😉
I don’t know where your notifications go now. I’ll try to hang onto you regardless 🙂
I should think not! (K)
Let the crows rule.
