Last roses

Photo of a creamy gold/pink rose.

Roses bloom, listening to the sun and the mild air,

a last burst of beauty before the winter chill.

We sit, faces raised to catch the warmth,

listening to the crisp rustle of drifting leaves.

On the empty boughs, buds, new leaves wait,

new life waits.

Ours too.

Perhaps.

I used to do lots of things I didn't much enjoy. Now I am officially a writer. It's what I always wanted to be.

      1. I think I had that problem, but now I don’t remember what I did, if anything. It’s not because your storage is full, is it? I did have that problem and ended up paying instead of using the free plan.

      2. No, I can upload other photos from my computer, anything but the ones I took myself. I still have almost half my space left. Could try deleting some of it. Might help.
