A Christmas tanka for Frank Tassone’s haikai challenge.
end of year creeping
wreathed in cold mist and drizzle
on the door a splash
of colour green and red—

#Haiku Happenings #5: Jane Dougherty’s latest #tanka for my current #haikai challenge!
Thanks Frank 🙂 And a very happy Christmas to you 🙂
Thank you, Jane! Merry Christmas 🎄
🙂
Beautiful tanka Jane.
Thank you, Hélène 🙂
Thank goodness for that splash of color! 🙂 I hope the sun (and moon) come out for you, Jane.
I just finally finished some work, so now I can celebrate!
It’s very weird lighting this evening. The moon is there but fuzzy and on the east meadow there’s a thick blanket of mist. Nowhere else.
Weird!
Red-green rhythms. Lovely.
Thanks! The colours are pretty when the sun decides to come out.
