On forest feet

Smoke drifts slowScreen Shot 2018-12-29 at 14.42.12

about the burning ocean

colour of ice;

hearts melt like secrets,

soft as snow,

and fires fly

in the face of eternity.

the goddess walks,

with honey on her tongue,

sun on her skin,

listening to the music of the moon,

while petals whisper as they fall,

covering with rose

the windy spring light.

I used to do lots of things I didn't much enjoy. Now I am officially a writer. It's what I always wanted to be.

  1. They are lovely visuals! Did you use two different sets? The second one is similar to the message I got from her. We finally have a nice day, so maybe that’s headed your way. 🙂

      1. Our forecast bears so little relation to reality that I’ve stopped even looking at it. They can’t even tell us what weather we are having this minute. The sky has been covered in low grey cloud all day without a break and the temperature has hovered just above freezing since this morning. According to the weather people it’s around 43°F and sunny. It’s been like this for days, only change has been to have fog instead of cloud.

      2. Thanks, me too! The house is just too cold—apart from the study and the kitchen where the wood burners are, the rest of the house is between 41 and 45°F. I shudder to think what it goes down to at night! It’s supposed to be like this for the next ten days at least. I might not make it…
