Take these small pieces of morning
damp with night rain
and place them in the stream
with the sun jewels of summer
the hot stars
fallen from a melting sky
and see how they shine
just as bright.

Beautiful 💜
Thank you 🙂

The Oracle is running through our minds. I had similar thoughts about last night’s storm. (K)
It’s certainly a particular way of thinking, valuing everything trying not to judge what is ‘worth’ protecting and what is just fit for extinction.
I feel the magic in your words! It’s amazing how your descriptions take me to that location. I can feel and see the sights after a nighttime rainfall. We’ve had a few early morning showers here in the desert. The air holds the moisture and the smell of the wet soil has smoky undertones. Very different than anywhere else I’ve lived. ❤
I bet rain in the desert smells wonderful, and you have to get outside and enjoy it before the sun burns it away 🙂
That’s a fact. We are in the rainy season now. Many years ago when I lived in Phoenix the rain flooded the Air Force base! It was amazing to see the damage and the flash flooding that occurred.
Water is such a powerful element. We mess with nature but we don’t control it.
We’ve so abused the elements. Instead of working in concert, we destroy. Doesn’t say much for humanity.
We’ve lost our natural instincts and turn to the pillock with the biggest mouth for guidance.
Isn’t that the truth? 🙄
😦
A wonderful poem for the start into a wonderful day, too. Michael
Thank you, Michael. We don’t need baking heat to get pleasure out of our surroundings 🙂
Think so too, Jane! You are living in a wonderful area, like the paradise.
It’s hard work keeping it from becoming a wilderness though.
