as the soft wings of owls

I used to do lots of things I didn't much enjoy. Now I am officially a writer. It's what I always wanted to be.

    1. Thanks Willow! The astronomer on the radio yesterday said the best time to see the Perseids was when the moon set at just after 4am. Guess who woke up at 4am and just had to go outside and watch?

    1. If I’d gone outside I’d probably have seen more, but didn’t fancy it at 4 in the morning. It was still magic, leaning out of the window, listening to the owls, dogs and cocks cheering them on 🙂

      1. I think what I enjoyed most (I’m not usually hanging out of the window at 4am) was seeing the moon set and in the course of the next hour hearing the owls calling back and forth, things yipping and squealing, then distant dogs barking, then the cocks crowing. It was noisy but not loud noisy and in a good way.
