Tanka for the equinox

A tanka (I think) for Frank Tassone’s weekly haikai challenge.

I used to do lots of things I didn't much enjoy. Now I am officially a writer. It's what I always wanted to be.

      1. Listening to some kids on Friday interviewed outside a lycée, asked why they weren’t on the climate march. They didn’t feel concerned by climate change. End of story. Sad. Then they’ll say it’s all our fault.

      2. The blame game. For this to go anywhere all have to be involved, I agree. I was impressed by the turnout addressing climate change worldwide the other day. Hope it wasn’t just a day out of the classroom for most.

      3. In Sweden they’ve been doing it for months. It’s been mixed here as everywhere. Some kids are angry, some are just hoping for the same comfortable lifestyle as their parents. I wish I believed that all of them/us are going to have to change our lifestyles, but I have a sneaking suspicion it’s going to be a bigger change for some than for others.
