it’s Christmas
I tell the birds on the feeder
putting out more seed
oh, they say
and clean up as usual

Beautiful! I like your feeder! … and so do the birds!
The birds give a lot of pleasure in return for a bit of bird seed 🙂

#Haiku Happenings #5: Jane Dougherty’s latest #gogyogka for my current #haikai challenge!
Thank you, Frank 🙂
My pleasure, Jane! 🙂
I hope you’ve had a good day, Frank. Sending best wishes your way 🙂
So wonderful, and the tits are very intelligent too.
They know when they’ve found a good place.
I love the matter-of-fact tone of this. Every day is a celebration. (K)
Every day happens and just because some call it a holiday, it basically happens just the same.
Ha. Loved this.
My inner blue tit coming out 🙂

Delightful. What do the birds know of Christmas, yet there were never better (living) ornaments for trees.
That’s what I told the kids this year. They always want a tree, and I love Christmas trees and the old decorations, but only in my childhood. Funny how these things that used to be so important and loaded with meaning can just die away. I’d rather feed the birds.
So good to feed the birds. They’ll go for this on Christmas or any day.
They know what’s important and it isn’t Rolex watches and foie gras.
Lovely!
Thank you, Lisa 🙂
You’re welcome 🙂
