I used to do lots of things I didn't much enjoy. Now I am officially a writer. It's what I always wanted to be.

    1. They are pretty. I had to look them up. When I was a child I knew the names of wild flowers but there are different ones here that I’d never seen (or noticed) before.

      1. When I was a kid I had a mind the equivalent of a magpie’s nest. I hoarded information about everything. If I was interested in something I read, researched, learned names lists off by heart. One day I must have wondered what a particular flower was called, and I was off.

      2. Names are history, they go back centuries and using them gives me the impression of understanding a little of how people functioned in those far off days.

      1. Yes! The view outside my window is rather bland. Though, I get a perfect view of the sunset once a day (well, more than once a day would be a bit weird, wouldn’t it?).

  1. I’m glad you have such beauty where you are, especially in flowers that affirm the spring. I think toothwort is a grand name. Enjoy chez vous (or however I should say that).
