The charts

I had a look this morning to see if my new baby booklet was registering in the amazon sales rankings yet. The first few days after a launch are when the figures look the best so I want to make sure I get every drop and crumb of glowing fuzzy satisfaction out of them.

The figures are coming in, in a surprising way too. On the site the paperback is sitting at 791 in #poetry which is gratifying and quite enough to make me feel proud of myself. Amazon has decided to stick the kindle version in the #love poetry category where it’s at a very respectable (and totally unexpected) 67, but to see my little book of what are essentially nature poems (water and all that) sitting at 152 in #erotic poetry made me laugh!

If you haven’t ordered a copy yet, don’t worry. There are a few left, just don’t expect Anaïs Nin. Links are on this blog post which is a hypocritical way of saying, I’m too modest to push it, but go on anyway.

I used to do lots of things I didn't much enjoy. Now I am officially a writer. It's what I always wanted to be.

    1. I’ve had a look and for me it is available. Time lag maybe? I much appreciate you looking for it!

Yesterday a friend told me she hadn’t been able to leave a comment on my blog so I looked for it in spam, found it and let it out. There were also several of your comments in there. The last time I tried to leave on your blog I got the message telling me it was impossible. This happens quite often with your blog. Do you think your computer might have a bug?

      1. Thanks Jane – the paper copy is available so I’ll keep my eyes peeled for the kindle version. A few weeks back some people had problems commenting on my blog but I thought that had been resolved 😳 I think it’s a WP issue rather than something at my end but their ‘support’ is almost non-existent. Do let me know if it keeps happening, and I’ll ask my techy friends!

    1. You have the creative skills I lack, and probably the patience too. Good luck with it. It’s all a question of folding paper and cutting it. That’s the idea anyway. Getting the poems to fit the format and appear the right way up must be tricky, but I know you can do it!

  1. Congratulations on the stats – those are impressive. I have been banned from Amazon – filed a fraudulent charge claim against some charges that were not mine. Amazon said if I didn’t provide another credit card number to pay for the charges I am claiming are not mine – I would be banned. So – I am banned. But I am so happy your book is doing well.
