Light of the world

five finger sky

And what if a hand

five-clawed, red and bloody,
scratched open the veil of the sky?

We could we see an omen, a portent,
or we could trace the streams of drifting sky,
running through its glorious fingers.

  1. I love the poem–omens, portents, or simply beauty, but that sky is amazing. It’s so funny that it goes with my poem for the ekphrastic challenge, and it’s not even based on word tiles. πŸ˜€
